Commitment
When accepting the commitment to impersonate the "King of Rock and Roll", you do not only ensure
clean, family entertainment but you also commit to God, Country and Family/Friends.  Deep down
Elvis Presley believed in God and this can be felt in his gospel arrangements.  Elvis grew up in church
and loved how gospel music can make the soul stronger and heal pain and hurt.  Elvis was loyal to his
country, accepting the duty to serve in the United States Army and continued afterwards to serve his
country through his music.  Elvis loved people, especially  the closest to him.  Whether it was his wife,
his daughter, father or mother, Elvis always wanted that close bond and love he continued to crave
throughout his life.

The same is true for Butch Dicus.  Raised in a church as a grandson of a Baptist preacher, Butch also
learned that the spirit moves in various gospel songs and when the soul is hurt, songs can heal the
elderly or the sick, even though it is only for a moment.  Butch, like Elvis, served his country for over
16 years and learned the greatest freedom can be found in America which gives him the ability to "feel"
"America, the Beautiful" or  "American Trilogy" and conveys it to the crowds through song.  Butch's
greatest strength lies in his commitment to family and friends.  But without the support and love of Lisa
and our three boys , this dream would not be possible.  With the Lord's hands in all of this, Butch will
sing forever with commitment, no matter who or what tries to stop him.

As you can see, before making the commitment to impersonate the greatest entertainer of all times, you
must make a commitment to yourself too.  Committing to remember you are only impersonating
someone, but not becoming the individual.  Committing to remember that others have feelings also and
strive to befriend all, including your enemies.  Commit to remember it was God who gave you the
talent, not a manager.  Commit to remember it is a great country to live in that allows you the freedom
to express yourself as an entertainer.  Commit to remember the love ones who support you and even
with a simple "Thank you" or "I love you" makes the world a better place to live in.
